Your support is vital to the future health of our trails in Sonoma County. Thanks the help of our supporters, in 2011 alone we developed 1,000 feet of new trail and repaired over 5,000 feet in existing parks.
Where your donation money goes:
- Training dozens of new volunteers on proper trail design, construction and maintenance through our Trail Stewardship and Crew Leader program.
- Continuing our partnership with agencies (State and Regional Parks; Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District on existing and future trail projects.
- Reviewing management and access plans to ensure that our trails are maintained regularly and remain available to hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians.
- Allowing participation with support in developing access plans for Tolay Lake Regional Park, Willow Creek and Taylor Mountain.
- Maintaining and upgrading our website, which offers extensive information on trail building activities, current trail news, interactive maps and photos.
The opportunities for involvement with trails are better than ever, but they require your financial support to continue our advocacy, stewardship, education and outreach efforts. Please consider your contribution to the trails you love so much by becoming a member or continuing your membership, becoming a business sponsor, or making a one-time donation. You can also purchase Trails Council merchandise to support our programs.
