Our purpose:
To promote on a local level the establishment and improvement of public trails open to all non-motorized visitors; promote and organize events and workdays to help maintain local trails; advocate safe and proper use of trails by all visitors; inform membership of important parks and trails developments.
The SCTC is the oldest multi-use organization in the country. Dedicated to the stewardship of trails throughout Sonoma County, we advocate for hikers, equestrians, runners and mountain bikers across political jurisdictions. We provide support for new trail creation and education in trail maintenance, safety and etiquette. Members receive a monthly newsletter and updates on pertinent issues.
